Sabah terletak di bahagian utara pulau Borneo di sebelah Laut China Selatan. Sebagai negeri kedua terbesar di Malaysia, Sabah bukan sahaja menempatkan banyak tumbuhan eksotik dan hidupan liar, tetapi juga menempatkan kira-kira 40 suku kaum Orang Asal yang kaya dengan budaya dan tradisi.<\/p>

Kebanyakannya Orang Asal di Sabah ini telah menggelar Sabah sebagai rumah mereka selama berabad-abad, sebelum penciptaan Malaysia. Apabila pembangunan dan kemodenan perlahan-lahan berkembang, kebimbangan ditimbulkan tentang kehilangan budaya, tradisi, tanah dan identiti keseluruhan orang asal di Sabah; kebimbangan yang cuba ditangani oleh PACOS bersama komuniti setempat.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

PACOS Trust kini memberi sokongan berterusan kepada Pertubuhan Rakyat (PR) di 19 lokasi luar bandar dari 27 daerah di Sabah. Setiap PR mempunyai jawatankuasa dan melaksanakan pelan kawasan dan program kerja sendiri. PACOS Trust memberi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran pemimpin PR melalui nasihat, latihan dan pendedahan yang sesuai.<\/p>

Sebanyak 20 Pusat Pembelajaran Komuniti (CLC) di seluruh Sabah, yang bukan sahaja memberi tumpuan kepada pendidikan formal untuk kanak-kanak berumur 4 hingga 6 tahun tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai pusat komuniti untuk mesyuarat, sumber, maklumat, dan aktiviti berkaitan komuniti yang lain. CLC disokong oleh pelbagai sumber pembiayaan PACOS Trust dan dibina oleh penduduk kampung sendiri serta sukarelawan.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Where We Work? Sabah is located in the northern portion of the island of Borneo beside\u00a0the South China Sea. As the\u00a0second largest state in Malaysia, Sabah is not only home to many exotic plants and wildlife, but also home to\u00a0approximately 40 indigenous tribes\u00a0who are rich in culture and tradition. Many of these indigenous peoples in Sabah have called Sabah their home for centuries, long before the creation of Malaysia. As development and modernity slowly creep\u00a0in, concerns are raised about\u00a0the loss\u00a0of culture, traditions, land and overall identity of indigenous peoples in Sabah; concerns which PACOS\u00a0tries to address together with the local communities. PACOS Trust supports community organisations (CO) in 19 districts involving 27 geographical areas in Sabah, with each community organisation determining and implementing its own area plan and work programme. PACOS Trust strives to improve knowledge and skills of the CO leaders through advice, training and appropriate exposure. There are a total of 20 Community Learning Centres (CLC) throughout Sabah, which not only focus on formal education for children 4 to 6 years old but are also a community centres for meetings, resources, information, and other community-related activities.
